Outpost Eleven
Outpost Eleven is my first story written in english. It’s part of Affront förlags anthology Waiting for the Machines to Fall Asleep.
The story features Marta — the commander at Outpost Eleven — a deep space station, charged with the task to monitor the massive black cloud at the edge of explored space.
A message is received from the closest station — Outpost Ten — saying that they have detected changes in the cloud. After that, there is radio silence. And then, a member of the crew goes missing.
The story is an independent sequel to Det svarta molnet from Maskinblod 2
Praise for Outpost Eleven
This tale, while firmly space operatic, does convey a sense of fear that is almost Lovecraftian.

Scandinavian writers tend to have a dark and twisted side that they show mostly in crime novels, but I was happy to find these tortured characters and worlds in more sci-fi/cyberpunk genres as well in this compilation, with some stories that managed to make me check my door locks twice at night before going to sleep.
